However, there is a budget guide to help you make the most of this incredible capital city. You don’t need to go far to see the main cultural attractions. The city is small enough to explore on foot. Beautiful Places Visit

Amsterdam is perhaps the most populated city. Many of the houses have been converted from private homes into apartments, stores, and businesses. It can feel very familiar at times. This city has everything you could want in terms of art, architecture, and design. The Dutch are known for their artistic talent, as evidenced by Rembrandt, Vermeer, and the Golden Age of painting.

Amsterdam is home to some of the best-preserved canal houses in Europe. Rows and rows of brick buildings are lined with curved gables (or ‘neck gables’) facing each other at an angle. They are picturesque and transport you back to the 17th century. The city can get very crowded during peak tourism periods. That means long lines at major tourist destinations and lots of competition for accommodations. It is another look at this beautiful city.

City Biking

Amsterdam is a city that encourages you to take it all in and let go. Walking is the best way to travel. You’ll be able to interact with the locals and have the opportunity to get off the beaten path from time to time without worrying about appointments. After a long day on the streets, you can relax and find a canal-side bar or gastropub to sit and enjoy live jazz and blues.

If you like to stroll and enjoy the view, renting a bike could be the best choice. The Dutch are expert cyclists. Amsterdam is naturally full of bicycles. It’s an easy, inexpensive, and convenient way to explore the city. Remember that you have to share space with pedestrians, streetcars, and cars when you rent a bike. Thus, you will be able to across the Centrum also.

Parks and Garden Visit

Sometimes it’s best to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city streets. This city provides some fresh air, many large and beautiful parks to stroll through. You can even bring a picnic with you. For instance, you can do this idea when visiting the Vondelpark. You can also visit the Amstelpark, Sarphatipark, and Rembrandtpark.

Amsterdam Building Visit

This beautiful medieval courtyard has a collection of buildings, including the wooden house, built in 1420. It is the oldest house in Amsterdam and also has a chapel. The Begijntjes was a Catholic sorority that lived as nuns but never took monastic vows. These houses are private, so quiet respect is required. The walls are covered with 17th-century paintings. Admission is completely free. It is a great place to relax. Besides, there are 32 museums in Amsterdam. The Anne Frank House is one of them. You can save money by buying the Museumkaart online. The Museumkaart is valid for one year and is good for all of Holland.

Coffee Shops Hoping

Amsterdam is synonymous with coffee shops. It leads to the topic of drugs. We also talk about soft drugs, such as marijuana, hemp, and cannabis. Times have changed in the capital. Although marijuana is technically illegal, the police have tolerated its use for decades. They are becoming less tolerant, but they still allow personal use. Dutch authorities let individuals decide what to put in their bodies. It is a health issue. The decline of coffee shops in general, but you are offered a menu and medication when you come in.
